A Much More Realistic Approach

Portraits In The Key Of Punk Rock still lives, I just such at updating the website, I hope that will change. I am hoping for a post or two a week at least, but who knows, I never claimed to be a writer.  I am coming up on two years of hacking away at this, I’ve had my ups and downs, my starts and stops, but I know I still want the book to become a reality. Photographing live music is what I love to do and I know I am good at it, what I am not good at is talking to people which makes it hard to make connections. The coming months will include me making a concerted effort to make as many new connections with musicians, management, promoters and record companies as possible. Watch out because here I come. Don’t worry you’ll see me coming, I’m kind of hard to miss.

Pouzza Fest or Bust

Have you heard of Pouzza Fest in Montreal Canada? I am sure a lot of you have, I however somehow managed to let it fly under my radar until just a few days ago. Really though, how could I have missed Pouzza Fest, it’s huge and on it’s fourth incarnation. Pouzza Fest takes place in just a few short days, May 16-18 in downtown Montreal, 9 venues all within walking distance and over 200 bands. 9 venues and over 200 bands, that is astounding and totally worth making a trip to see, did I mention over 200 bands. Just click on the poster below and you can check out their website and see all the other bands that are playing.

Stay tuned to Portraits In The Key Of Punk Rock for further updates on Pouzza Fest. (Fingers crossed)
